Who we are looking for

Montessori-Minded, and Organized With It

The rare combination this role needs: someone who is genuinely at home in a Primary classroom and equally comfortable keeping a school running.

A young child arranging wooden Montessori cylinders in careful order at a work table

Committed to the method

Genuinely passionate about early childhood and committed to authentic Montessori principles, not a loose interpretation of them.

A child absorbed in independent work with a Montessori material in a bright classroom

Warm and patient

Respectful with children, calm under pressure, and able to hold a nurturing classroom community together through a full morning.

Golden bead material laid out on a table showing thousands, hundreds, tens and units

Organized and dependable

Comfortable taking initiative, balancing classroom work with administrative duties, and jumping in wherever the school needs you.

Two children practising handwriting together with pencils and paper at a wooden desk

A strong communicator

Professional and personable with families, clear with colleagues, and a real team player as the school grows.

A toddler carefully washing the leaves of a houseplant during practical life work

Association Montessori Internationale

You Will Not Have to Argue for the Method Here

Our classrooms are founded on the principles within the AMI training model, created by Dr. Maria Montessori so that Montessori practice would stay consistent worldwide.

That means no diluted schedule and no explaining for the tenth time why the work cycle cannot be interrupted. And in the afternoon, you will be helping shape how a young school protects that standard as it grows.

From our community

What It Is Like Here

Kristina is one of the warmest people I have met and it shows through her passion of Montessori learning. She is so patient and kind and the classrooms are beautiful and the kids just love all the puzzles and child-led activities!

A Classroom Volunteer

The classroom is bright, inviting, and thoughtfully organized, allowing children to explore and learn at their own pace. The teachers are attentive and nurturing, fostering a sense of independence while providing support when needed.

Questions Candidates Ask Us

Which Montessori training do you accept?

AMI primary training is strongly preferred. AMS and other MACTE-accredited primary training is also welcome, and we will talk through how you work in practice. Prior Montessori classroom experience and any school leadership experience are both a plus.

Do I need a Fingerprint Clearance Card already?

A valid Arizona Fingerprint Clearance Card is required for the role. If yours is already current, say so in your application. If it is in progress, tell us where you are with it.

How does the day actually split?

Mornings belong to the classroom and the work cycle. Afternoons shift to the Assistant Director side, working alongside the Director on operations, families, staffing and enrollment.

I am strong in the classroom but new to admin. Should I apply?

Yes. We would rather meet an excellent Montessori guide who is ready to grow into the leadership half than pass on the right person. Tell us which part you are more confident in.

What happens after I apply?

We review your application and resume, and if it looks like a fit we will arrange a conversation. From there we invite you to spend time in the classroom, because watching a room together tells both of us far more than an interview does.

Teach, Lead, and Grow With Us

If you want a role where you can do all three in a young Montessori school, we would love to hear from you.
