How it works
From First Inquiry to First Day
Most families move through this over a few weeks. If you are planning ahead for a fall start, it is worth beginning the conversation several months early.
Tell us about your child
Send us your child’s age, your hoped-for start date and anything you would like us to know. It takes two minutes and there is no obligation attached to it.
Visit the classroom
We schedule a private tour at a time that suits your family. You will see the environment during a real work cycle, not a staged version of it, and you can ask anything.
Apply and enroll
If it feels right on both sides, we walk you through the application, confirm your child’s placement and agree on a start date and schedule together.
Settle in
We plan the first days deliberately, often with a shorter schedule at the start. Your guide keeps you posted through the transition so you are never guessing how it is going.
Your visit
What to Look For on the Tour
Parents often arrive unsure what they are supposed to be assessing. Here is what we would watch if we were in your position.
- Is the room calm? A well-functioning Montessori classroom is quiet in a busy way, not a silent way.
- Are children choosing? Look for children selecting their own work and returning it, rather than being moved through a schedule.
- Where are the adults? Guides should be observing or presenting to one child, not managing the room from the front.
- Can a child reach everything? Shelves, sinks, coat hooks and jugs at child height are the clearest sign the environment was built for them.
- Do older children help younger ones? In a mixed-age room, that happens naturally and tells you a lot.

Before You Enroll
What ages do you take?
We serve children from 18 months through 6 years, across our toddler and primary classrooms. Children move up when they are developmentally ready, not simply when a birthday passes.
My child has never been in Montessori. Will they adjust?
Most children settle in within the first few weeks. The classroom is designed to be readable by a young child, so they can find work, put it away, and ask for help on their own terms.
We often start new children on a shorter schedule, and your guide will keep you posted through the transition.
Do you have a waiting list?
Sometimes, depending on the classroom and the time of year. Places are limited by design because small groups are the point. The earlier you tell us your intended start date, the better we can plan for your child.
Does my child need to be toilet trained?
No. Toilet independence is treated as part of practical life in the toddler community and is handled gently, at your child’s pace, in partnership with you at home.
What makes an AMI-based classroom different?
AMI is the training model Dr. Maria Montessori established herself so that Montessori practice would stay consistent worldwide. It shapes how our guides present materials, how the environment is arranged, and how children are observed and supported.
“Montessori” is not a protected term, so it is worth asking any school you visit what their practice is actually founded on.
How much is tuition?
We go through tuition and the schedule options for your child’s age group during your tour, once we know which classroom fits and how many days you are looking for.
